Hollyoaks confirms major return as Ethan’s wake takes unexpected turn
Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has confirmed two big returns next week, in Ethan Williams’ death plot.
Last month, Ethan died on his and Sienna’s wedding day, after he was seemingly pushed from his hotel balcony.
Sienna was made the prime suspect in her new husband’s death, and Robbie decided to make this crystal clear by paying the wedding photographer to tell the police that she saw Sienna pushing him.
She was arrested for murder and is currently behind bars, but Sienna remains firm that she is innocent.
In this week’s episodes, Jez has a new theory about the photographer, and when he shares this theory with Sienna, the information she gives him leads Jez to pay Vicky a visit.
There are potentially some big developments to come as, in scenes that will air next week, Maxine finds out from Jez that the eyewitness has retracted their statement about seeing Sienna pushing Ethan.
Maxine is distressed by this news, as she desperately wants justice for Ethan and is convinced that Sienna is responsible.
Later, the village residents hold a wake for Ethan in The Dog, and grieving Maxine gives an emotional speech as a tribute to her late uncle.
But her speech is cut short when Sienna walks in, making a dramatic return to the village after being released from prison.
Upon Sienna’s return, the Blakes have a family meal, but things quickly turn awkward. The family feuds once again, and it leads Sienna to make a big decision.
Meanwhile, Jez rushes off to see someone. It is revealed that he is continuing to manipulate his mum Martha – who hasn’t been seen on screen since before the show’s time jump.
Jez asks his partner John Paul if he has seen Martha, explaining that she has gone missing and is suffering from confusion.
He then finds Martha at Sienna’s house, and she is annoyed to find out that she has been kept apart from her grandmother.
Sure enough, Martha begins to get confused about things, and she even refers to Sienna’s children Sebastian and Sophie as her own children, Patrick and Jeremy.
Sienna doesn’t want to waste any more time, seeing as Martha’s condition has deteriorated, so she asks her grandmother to move in so she can look after her.
What does Jez have planned for Martha next?
